Airgunners of Arizona FT Match Report
January 17, 2009 Wickenburg, AZ
Shooters meeting with "Mr. Personality" (Odin Frostad) front and center
This was our first match of the new year, and while the rest of the country was
freezing, we had balmy mid-70 degree temps, a clear blue sky, and no wind for
the entire match.
We were once again the guests of Debbie and Dale Keiser at their range in
Wickenburg. They set up a 54 target course of 9 lanes with 3 targets per lane,
including several forced standing shots. With the bright sunshine and target
placements in the shadows and surrounded by vegetation, it was somewhat tricky
to determine distances. All in all it was a challenging course and fun to shoot.
13 shooters were in attendance, however scores were turned in for 11 of them.
Bonni had a gun malfunction with a pellet lodging inside and jamming the action
of her gun, and Larry Nelson forgot his inhaler and was having difficulty
catching his breath, so he had to drop out. Greg Frostad made the trip from
northern NM and brought along his son, Mr. Personality, aka Odin. That youngster
brought smiles to our faces with his antics and conversation. What a character!
Debbie Keiser - Steady as ever!
Not to sound like a broken record, but Debbie once again cleaned our clocks with
her shooting by taking match winner. Hubby Dale, feeling and looking much better
from his recent health concerns, tied her score. Being the gracious (and smart!)
husband that he is, he allowed the 5 clean lanes that she shot, to be the tie
breaker against the 4 clean lanes that he shot. Almost sounds like he planned it
that way, sorta.

Good scores, good fellowship, and good fun were had by all, including a fine
lunch offered by Debbie. She makes a mean chili that went well with the large
assortment of other delectables. Debbie, thank you once again for taking care of
us gastronomically!
Ron Drye with a massive growth on his knee.
Ray Horneman, aka Professor Gadget making good use of electrical and kitchen
utensils....LOL!
It is interesting to note that we are fortunate to have probably the only club
in the country with so many husband / wife couples shooting together; Debbie and
Dale Keiser, Sandy and Bobby Corcorran, Robin and Steve Montgomery, Bonni Jo and
Ron Drye, and our newest addition this past year, Jim and Peg Walker. Airgunning
and FT are really a family activity.
Greg Frostad...shooting a springer????
Our next match will be the 3rd Saturday in February (2/21/09), and will be back
in Wickenburg. The match dates will vary this year, so check out the website
calendar for specific dates and locations at www.airgunsofarizona.com/Airgunners
